About Series Coaching
Our name, “Series,” is a respectful nod to the various stages of funding that companies often pursue during their lifecycle. The funding rounds are often seen as a mark of success for what stage a company is in and validation for where they are going.
We wanted to create an organization of coaches who can and know how to step into any stage of a company’s development, whether it’s a startup or an established corporation, and engage leaders in a dynamic and well-rounded way. With this desire, we hold the conviction that therapeutically-trained individuals who have a track record of knowing the context leaders are in serve as the best coaches in the task of interpersonal and executive coaching engagements.
How we’re different from other coaching companies
Therapeutically-informed executive coaching is a coaching approach that draws on principles and practices from psychotherapy to help individuals improve their leadership and professional performance. This approach integrates insights from psychology and behavioral science to help individuals gain greater self-awareness, identify and overcome obstacles to success, and develop new skills and strategies for effective leadership.
At its core, our coaching approach involves a close collaboration between the coach and the client to identify and address the client's specific challenges and goals. This often involves exploring the client's emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in order to gain a deeper understanding of their underlying motivations and patterns.
As coaches, we may use a variety of techniques and tools, such as mindfulness practices, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic approaches, to help the client gain insight and develop new perspectives. Additionally, the coach may help the client develop strategies for managing stress, improving communication and interpersonal skills, and building resilience and emotional intelligence.
Overall, coaching is a powerful tool for helping individuals achieve their professional goals and reach their full potential as leaders. By drawing on the best practices from psychotherapy and behavioral science, we believe this approach can help individuals develop the self-awareness, skills, and strategies they need to thrive in their professional roles and make a positive impact on their organizations and communities.

Coaching or Therapy?
The coaching relationship has some key distinctions that differ from the therapeutic relationship. Coaching typically involves identifying a specific goal(s) and establishing a collaborative relationship in pursuit of the goal at hand. The overlap between the two often involves identifying themes and narratives from our lives that contribute towards our conflicts, ambivalence, fears, and desires.
Coaching is not and should not be a substitute for therapy.
